This is bad and wrong on many many levels.

Successful branding takes time, lots of research, understanding and talented
people. You know this yourself!

Whilst the 'one stop logo shop' create a niche for itself in 'now now
market', I am of the opinion that these logos and sadly the businesses they
represent will disappear as quickly as they were created.

cheers

I'd like to take up logoworks' offer of 'unlimited revisions'.

Paulo,

I do not support logo mills because they lead businesses to a false
understanding of strategic branding and design. Furthermore, it
trivializes a designer's formal training and experience and makes it
seem as though what we do is nothing more than making pretty images.

That being said, it's a shame that LogoWorks couldn't put more thought
into their own logo. I suppose it's a testament to their work...

I'm impressed, frankly, Paulo. The work is decent and the business model is
impressive. Site and process well thought through.

This is interesting!

I am of the humble opinion that branding and identity work should be firmly
based on a company´s business and somewhere express the differentiating
factors of the same. It is a long process involving hard work ( I know
having done it for the last 13 years) and in the end the client should have
something that can live and prosper together with the company over a period
of time; sometimes for a very long time.

I am not very keen on these on-stop-shops at all...but somwhere I can't help
thinking that we might over-intellectualize our profession. I know that I am
swearing in church right now but it is an intriguing thought. Maybe we put
the label "strategic" on our proffession just to improve value on our work
when it is all about creative interpretations! We're artists and what we do
is taking in our client's wishes and then deliver upon them...like a good
brand-fairy...

Once again I am sorry if I upset anyone...all I want to do is play with the
thought of it.

I used to think the same way too until I started to do corporate identity
stuff for small companies. I realized there are lots of small businesses
who could never afford to pay for extended branding and corporate identity
services. Sometimes all they really need is a decent logo and a stationery
package and that's all. I think a site like www.logoworks.com is exactly
what a small company may look for. Not everyone can afford a $10,000
identity package.
